Launched in 2002, Taiwantrade is Taiwan’s national B2B e-commerce portal. Taiwantrade is organized by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs and operated by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Taiwantrade is backed by a global network of 120+ offices to assist businesses everywhere in finding quality suppliers and products from Taiwan.

For buyer users, the newly implemented upgrades to Taiwantrade.com provide a mobile-friendly backend UI, push notifications for new leads, and instant FB Messenger business lead updates. For supplier users, the ONE TAITRA App now enables prompt inquiry notifications. Language localization is one of our continued efforts to establish deeper connections with our users. Currently, Taiwantrade.com supports 14 languages (including Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai and French). Also, buyer-supplier interactions were strengthened through digital curation, event marketing, search engine marketing and Google Ads, which further attracted site visits and inquiries. 


 

iDealEZ Online Marketplace


iDealEZ is a B2B online marketplace operated by Taiwantrade. It enables small quantity or sample orders made directly to the suppliers. Currently available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, iDealEZ has the largest collection of online storefronts featuring Taiwanese exporters. iDealEZ supports major online payment and international shipping options.

Taiwantrade.com works with Amazon, Newegg and TradeIndia to provide exclusive deals for Taiwanese merchants. Cooperation was also conducted with blibli.com of Indonesia, Tiki.vn of Vietnam, PChome Thailand and eBay to list Taiwan products on the platforms.

In addition, Taiwantrade.com organized one-on-one seminar and meeting events, assisting suppliers to connect with global e-commerce platforms, including hepsiburada of Turkey, Privalia of Spain, eMAG of Romania, and Qoo10 of Singapore and Malaysia, as well as Rakuten Japan/France/Germany. The events facilitated deeper bonding with the local markets.

Assisting government agency strategy formulation


The “Export and Import Trend Monitoring and Analysis” and “Potential Market Selecting” projects, sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), involved the aggregation of major economic and international trade variables for the formulation of marketing strategies. Industrial data analysis reports and market insights were generated to facilitate the planning of overseas promotions and market selection processes, such as the heatmap analysis of export to Middle Eastern markets in all industries, and the export market analysis of the hand tools industry.
 

 

“Digital Intelligence” for precise international marketing


TAITRA provides data analytics via iTrade (itrade.taitra.org.tw) and customized service. TAITRA assisted companies and compiled analytic reports for various industry associations in Taiwan. The topics covered ranged from selecting potential high-performance markets, analysis of market rivals, to target market tariff comparisons. A “Potential Market Analysis Report” was also offered in visualized format, providing data on the top import markets, Taiwan export analysis, and a summary of market insights.
